The Nitty-Gritty on Heat
We’ve built these specifically for the voltage and wattage your Contiform needs. We use high-wattage quartz lamps that blast short-wave infrared (IR) radiation right through the PET wall. The secret is in the wattage-per-centimeter. We keep that ratio steady so the heat is even from top to bottom. One quick tip, though: if you’re tempted to crank up the wattage to shave a few seconds off your cycle time, just make sure your ventilation can handle the extra heat. If the oven can’t breathe, your lamps will burn out way faster than they should.
Built to Last (and Actually Fit)
We use high-purity quartz glass because it lets the IR light through without any fuss. Some of our lamps even have special coatings to make sure the heat hits the PET exactly where it’s needed. And because nobody likes fighting with wiring during a shift change, we use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. They snap in tight. That’s huge because in a high-vibration environment, a loose connection leads to arcing, and arcing kills your lamps. Simple as that.
Getting Them Into Your Line
The best part? These are direct replacements. You don’t have to rewire your racks or move a single piece of equipment. You get the same heating curve you’re used to, but your cost per bottle actually goes down. One last thing before you swap them out:check your reflectors. It doesn’t matter how great the lamp is if your gold or aluminum reflectors are pitted or oxidized. Give them a good look-over during installation. A clean reflector means a happy machine.
