The Trick to Heat Density
Here is the thing about the Contiform S: it relies on short-wave infrared. To get a PET preform to that “sweet spot” where it’s ready to blow, you need a lot of power, and you need it fast. But you can’t just throw any lamp in there. The voltage and wattage have to be a perfect match for your power supply. If they’re off, you’re looking at uneven heating or, worse, lamps that burn out way too soon. Now, high-wattage tubes are great for faster cycles. But there’s a catch. More heat means more stress on your oven’s ventilation. Making Sure it Actually Fits
We use heavy-wall quartz glass because it can take the hit of rapid heating and cooling without cracking. Most of these use R7s or Sk15 connectors, which is great news for you.
