You slide in a cold pizza, the temperature drops, and suddenly you’re just standing there waiting for the heat to recover. It’s a total bottleneck. That’s why we use short-wave infrared quartz tubes. Instead of wasting time heating up the air around the food, these tubes send energy straight into the pizza. It’s a direct hit of heat. Why this actually works Traditional ovens have this annoying “thermal lag”—that gap where the oven is trying to get back to temperature. Quartz tubes don’t do that. Because the tungsten filament is wrapped in high-purity quartz glass, it hits full power in seconds. It’s fast. Really fast. And that changes everything for your workflow because your bake cycles shrink and you can push out way more orders per hour. Getting it installed We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. You don’t need to rebuild your whole kitchen. The quartz glass is tough enough to handle “thermal shock,” so it won’t crack when you jump from idle to full blast. Most of our setups use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. This means if a tube eventually burns out, you can just swap it yourself without having to rewire the entire machine. One quick warning:**get your voltage right.**Make sure the tube matches your oven’s transformer exactly. If you plug a 230V tube into a 110V circuit without the right step-down, it’ll fry instantly. A few things to watch out for Now, this kind of heat is aggressive. Since it’s so intense, you can accidentally scorch the top of your crust if your racks aren’t set at the right height. You also need to make sure your ventilation is up to the task. These tubes dump heat quickly, and if the air can’t move, you risk warping the outer casing of the oven. And here is a pro tip:**keep the glass clean.**If grease builds up on the tube, it creates hotspots. That’s usually what causes the glass to fail early. Keep it wiped down, and it’ll last much longer.
