Introduction
Let’s get straight to it. We built the Husky NIR Heater Module for one reason: preform drying lines. We’re the OEM behind the biggest names in lamps, and our whole focus has always been simple—build a heater that can take the daily grind of the plant floor and deliver heat you can count on, every single time. This isn’t just some off-the-shelf bulb. It’s a dedicated thermal unit, engineered to dry preforms fast—without ever putting the material at risk.
The Heart of the Matter
Here’s the core of what makes it work. The Husky NIR packs a serious punch in a small space. It runs on a 400V supply, which lets us cram a lot of power into a 300mm quartz tube without tripping any wires. That 2500W output means the temperature shoots up fast, and that directly cuts down on your cycle time. Now, this setup is a balancing act. You get intense, concentrated heat, but that also means the parts around it feel the warmth. So, you’ve got to plan your machine layout with that in mind. The cooling path and airflow have to be designed to handle that thermal load.
Built to Last
We chose a quartz envelope because it can handle extreme heat and doesn’t crack under pressure when temperatures shift suddenly. Inside, the NIR filament focuses energy right where it needs to be—on the preform’s surface. It heats the part directly, instead of wasting energy warming up the whole machine. The tube also has a special coating to control the output and keep the filament safe. The R7s connector is a standard, reliable choice. It snaps in securely, ensures a solid electrical connection, and is built to survive the constant vibration and temperature swings of industrial life. That means when it’s time for maintenance, you can swap it out in minutes. No fuss. Just a quick drop-in replacement that gets your line back up and running.
What It Feels Like on the Floor
When you’re drying preforms, you need heat that hits the mark and a system you can trust. The Husky NIR gives you both. It dries fast and with focus, so the preform is ready to move on without holding up the line. The combo of 400V, 2500W, and the 300mm quartz tube gives you a predictable heat profile. That means consistent quality, part after part. We built this module to be an OEM workhorse. It handles long shifts, rapid on-off cycles, and the tough environment of a production floor. There’s a real trade-off, though. That high heat density means you absolutely need proper cooling. But when you pair the module with a well-ventilated system, you get a drying solution that just keeps delivering, again and again.
